I have a passion for buildings and townscapes of all sorts and regularly work to commission, painting portraits of houses which make amazing gifts or mementoes. Personal details can be woven in to create a really special piece of work. (You can see some in this gallery: childhood toys, hobbies, wedding flowers in a window for an anniversary). I love mundane streetscapes and mixed-up high streets too: drainpipes, chimneypots and vexed dogwalkers are my bread and butter. I've exhibited with the Royal Society of Watercolourists as well as at Maspie House Gallery, Falkland; Frames Gallery, Perth; The Quay Gallery, Aberdour and Station Gallery, Kinghorn. I co-founded a local Open Studios group,Round the Horn, which ran successfully for five years. I created a Christmas card for the Scottish Parliament in 2015. I've also worked on maps, with illustrations of buildings and hand lettering bringing character to the layout.
